Baseball Game Preview: Eastern Montgomery Mustangs vs. Narrows Green Waves

Eastern Montgomery hasn't had much luck against Narrows recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mustangs will square off against the Green Waves at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Montgomery is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Eastern Montgomery came up short against Parry McCluer and fell 11-6.

Nate Oliver and Coltin Conner did some serious damage despite the final result: Oliver went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Conner went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Narrows has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.08 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They came up short against Auburn, falling 13-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Green Waves were not able to get on the board.

Eastern Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 10-3-1. As for Narrows, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-2.

Eastern Montgomery might still be hurting after the 19-1 loss they got from Narrows when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
