             On Friday, Gaffney faced Boiling Springs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Gaffney Indians snuck past the Boiling Springs Bulldogs with  a  28-22 victory. The  win was just business as usual for the Indians, who after four games remain undefeated  this season.
 It was another big night for  Chas Smith, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was  Jayvon Gilmore, who threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns.
 Gaffney was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 212  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 212  rushing yards in three consecutive  matchups.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Gaffney's defense and their four sacks. Boiling Springs' QB  won't forget  Josh Corry anytime soon given he sacked him twice.  Gaffney will square off against Spartanburg at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Spartanburg's defense has only allowed 15.2  points per game  this season, so Gaffney's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Boiling Springs, they will challenge Eastside at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both  have allowed few  points on average, (Boiling Springs: 11.8, Eastside: 15.5) so any  points scored will be well earned.
