Soccer Recap: Sage Creek Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Sage Creek took on Vista on Wednesday. The Sage Creek Bobcats fell just short of the Vista Panthers by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 809th, while the Panthers are ranked 390th).

Aaron Johnson and Yozgar Martinez scored both of Sage Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Sage Creek has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-3 record this season. As for Vista, their record now sits at 4-5-2.

Sage Creek didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against El Camino on the 17th. Vista has also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Mission Vista on the 17th.
