Basketball Recap: Wallenberg Comes Up Short

Wallenberg lost to KIPP SF College Prep back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs took a 76-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Phoenix.

Despite the defeat, Wallenberg saw an underclassman step up: freshman Cardae Taylor posted 37 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. Lars Erickson was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Wallenberg dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for KIPP SF College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallenberg will head out to face off against Mission at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for KIPP SF College Prep, they will venture away from home to take on Lowell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
