Football Game Preview: Clarke County Bulldogs vs. Chickasaw Chieftains + Official Tickets

Clarke County is a perfect 3-0 against Chickasaw since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. Clarke County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Friday, Clarke County strolled past Millry with points to spare, taking the game 26-7.

Peebo Pugh had a dynamite game, throwing for 204 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 31 yards. Those 204 passing yards gave him a new career-high. 86 of Pugh's passing yards were hauled in by Ja Vun Denson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chickasaw). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Central 55-8.

Clarke County's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Chickasaw, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Clarke County against Chickasaw when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 47-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
