Football Recap: El Dorado Falls to Ponderosa in First Game of Season + How To Watch

El Dorado unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Ponderosa Bruins on Friday, falling 29-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost six in a row.

Hunter Rupley threw for 197 yards on 16 of 34 attempts. Logan Kruse was his top target, picking up 85 receiving yards. On the ground, Tyler Villa rushed for 47 yards.

El Dorado is headed away from home for the first time to take on Del Campo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ponderosa, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Casa Roble at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
