Basketball Recap: Dillon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Aynor last Friday, Dillon came back down to earth. The Dillon Wildcats took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Georgetown Bulldogs. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Dillon still got an impressive performance from Zamaurious Robertson, who posted 22 points in addition to five boards and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of S Taylor, who scored 11 points.

It was another big night for Amos Jones, who put up 24 points for Georgetown. Another player making a difference was Jari Ford, who earned 12 points and six rebounds.

Dillon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Georgetown, their record now sits at 13-8.

Dillon has already played their next matchup, a 16-11 win against Marlboro County on the 4th. As for Georgetown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-47 loss against Loris on the 4th.
