Basketball Recap: Hueneme Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Isaac Howard and Sebastian Juarez

Hueneme was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 60-48 to the Nordhoff Rangers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-45 last Saturday.

Despite the defeat, Hueneme had strong showings from Sebastian Juarez, who posted 17 points and five rebounds, and Isaac Howard, who had seven points and five rebounds. That's the most points Howard has posted since back in January of 2024.

Hueneme's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Nordhoff, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-9.

Hueneme didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 91-32 defeat against Righetti on the 26th. As for Nordhoff, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-46 victory against Desert on the 21st.
