Baseball Recap: Davis Sr. Comes Up Short

Davis Sr. has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.62 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 12-2 to the Whitney Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Devils have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Davis Sr. got a good showing from Charlie Sheridan, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Davis Sr. saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Castles, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Davis Sr. and nudges their season record down to 17-8-1. As for Whitney, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-11.

While Davis Sr. had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
