Basketball Recap: Holy Trinity Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Holy Trinity extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Monday, dropping them down to 0-4. They took a 29-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Francis W. Parker Colonels. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colonels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

As for Francis W. Parker, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.3 points on average over those games.

Jojo Husbeck was the offensive standout of the game as she almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. Those 16 points gave her a new career-high.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity and Westmont will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Francis W. Parker, they will challenge Noble Street College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Tigers' defense has only allowed 21.5 points per game this season, so the Colonels' offense will have their work cut out for them.
