Softball Recap: Waconia Takes a Loss

Waconia lost against Chanhassen back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Storm, falling 10-4. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maya Pena made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Ada Harmon was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Waconia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Chanhassen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Waconia is taking a road trip to square off against Chaska at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chanhassen, they will be playing at home against Southwest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Stars' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Storm's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
