            Softball Recap: Albany Cougars vs. Marin Catholic Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Thursday just wasn't the day for Albany's offense. They fell  4-0 to the Marin Catholic Wildcats on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty ten  runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
  Caroline Snyder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.
Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Marin Catholic, their win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albany will welcome Salesian College Preparatory  at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Pride have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last four matches. As for Marin Catholic, they will host San Rafael  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  game than the last.
