Football Recap: Amanda Elzy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Amanda Elzy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 44-0 loss at the hands of the Greenwood Bulldogs. The Panthers lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 32-14 score last time.

Jar'Kavion Clemon threw for 29 yards on three of eight attempts. On the ground, Erick Smith rushed for 41 yards.

Amanda Elzy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Greenwood, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amanda Elzy will challenge Winona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenwood, they will square off against Leflore County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
