Baseball Game Preview: Bonnabel Bruins vs. Riverdale Rebels

Bonnabel is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will face off against the Riverdale Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Riverdale will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Bonnabel extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Bruins put the hurt on Frederick A. Douglass with a sharp 11-4 win. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, while Riverdale put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Metairie Park Country Day. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Cajuns. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Bonnabel's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Riverdale, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Bonnabel skirted past Riverdale 5-3 in their previous meeting back in June of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
