It was a good run, but King/Drew unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears. The Golden Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Polar Bears earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

King/Drew saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hades Carranza, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

King/Drew's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Port of Los Angeles, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

Coming up, King/Drew will challenge Bravo at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Port of Los Angeles, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Harbor Teacher at 3:00 p.m. on the 28th.
