De Kalb extended their postseason success on Friday against Troup. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 4-1. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Kaydee Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kailyn Betts and Caylin Corbett did most of the damage at the plate: Betts went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Corbett went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. Those three hits gave Corbett a new career-high.

De Kalb's win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Troup, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 26-7.

De Kalb will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
