Baseball Recap: Schuyler County Has No Trouble Against Paris

After only two runs in their last contest, Schuyler County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Paris on Thursday. The Rams were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Coyotes. Considering the Rams have won six games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gage Brownell was incredible, firing off two home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Elliot Sevits was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Schuyler County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Paris, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuyler County will head out to challenge Scotland County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Paris, they will venture away from home to square off against Fayette at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
