After losing to Raleigh-Egypt the last time they met, Covington decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Covington Chargers walked away with a 61-48 win over the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

Covington's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Raleigh-Egypt, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covington will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Craigmont at 7:30 p.m. on February 17th. As for Raleigh-Egypt, they will take on Munford at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Munford has three straight victories, Raleigh-Egypt has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
