Volleyball Recap: Saguaro Has No Trouble Against St. Mary's + How To Watch

Saguaro barely beat St. Mary the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Sabercats put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The Sabercats haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Saguaro walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Paige Whelchel, who had nine digs and two aces. Jazmine Yingling also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Saguaro was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in eight consecutive matches.

Saguaro's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for St. Mary's, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-10.

Saguaro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Desert Sunrise on the 3rd. As for St. Mary's, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Bradshaw Mountain on the 4th.
