            Basketball Recap: Austin Black Bears vs. Decatur Heritage Christian Academy Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They took a hard  64-47 fall against the Decatur Heritage Christian Academy Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Black Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings  (they are ranked 178th, while the Eagles are ranked 34th).
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Decatur Heritage Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Genie Mcghee, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 12  rebounds. The  contest was  Mcghee's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Leslie Hames, who  went 8 of 18  on her way to 20 points.
Austin's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, their win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 14-3.
 Austin will take on Oxford in a tournament  on Friday. Oxford will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something Austin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Prattville Christian Academy  at 1:00  p.m.  on Friday. Decatur Heritage Christian Academy knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Prattville Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
