Preview: Alisal Trojans vs. Greenfield Bruins
Alisal is 3-0 against Greenfield since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Alisal Trojans will look to defend their home court against the Greenfield Bruins at 3:30 p.m. Alisal will be strutting in after a win while Greenfield will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Alisal was fully in charge, breezing past Gonzales 82-37 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-23.
Alisal had a senior duo take command as Gregory Cabrera scored 19 points along with 6 steals and Adrian Cardenas dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 assists. Jose Cruz was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Greenfield took a serious blow against Palma on Saturday, falling 66-35. Greenfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Alisal's victory pushed their record up to 2-0, while Gonzales' loss dropped theirs down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Alisal against Greenfield when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 71-30 victory. Does Alisal have another victory up their sleeve, or will Greenfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
