Basketball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 64-40 to the Gilmer Bobcats. The Generals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-18.

Leading Gilmer to victory were Jd Taylor and Keegen Bryant. Taylor went 8 of 16 en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals, while Bryant went 7 for 13 on his way to 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The matchup was Taylor's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mack Kiser, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Gilmer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-11.

Heritage will square off against Gilmer at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gilmer, they will challenge Northwest Whitfield at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Gilmer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
