Recap: Coleman Cougars vs. Oconto Falls Panthers
After a string of three wins, the Coleman Cougars's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost to Oconto Falls on the road by a decisive 76-57 margin. Coleman was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Oconto Falls apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Jameson Beaman was his usual excellent self, scoring 37 points for Oconto Falls. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Beaman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Haines, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Coleman's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Oconto Falls, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.
Coleman will take on Niagara at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oconto Falls, they will head out on the road to challenge Waupaca at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
