Volleyball Recap: Cupertino Takes a Loss

Cupertino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Los Gatos Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat back in April.

Cupertino was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-21.

Cupertino's record now sits at 7-17. As for Los Gatos, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cupertino will take on rival Homestead at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Los Gatos is set to square off against their familiar foe Harker at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
