Football Recap: Broken Arrow Starts Season with Win Against Har-Ber

Broken Arrow had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Har-Ber Wildcats with a sharp 35-14 win on Friday. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Broken Arrow's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Lang, who picked up 150 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Lang was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 60 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeramiah Ssettimba, who rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Broken Arrow will take on Fayetteville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Har-Ber, they will challenge Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
