Baseball Recap: Cardinal Stritch Comes Up Short

After flying high against Vanlue on Wednesday, Cardinal Stritch came back down to earth. The Cardinals lost 10-1 to the Central Catholic Fighting Irish on Saturday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Fighting Irish recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Cardinal Stritch's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Central Catholic, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17.

Coming up, Cardinal Stritch will square off against Bowsher at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The BlueRacers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Central Catholic, they will take on Ross at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
