Basketball Recap: Nolensville Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Nolensville waltzed into their contest on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 63-14 stomp they got against the Winter Park Wildcats. The game marked the Knights' most dominant win of the season so far.

Nolensville found their leader in sophomore Nyla Johnson, who went 7 of 9 on her way to 14 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Leilani Washington, who posted ten points.

Nolensville was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Nolensville's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Winter Park, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Nolensville will square off against Siegel at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. The timing is sure in Nolensville's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Siegel has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Winter Park, they and Dickson County will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
