Basketball Recap: Marysville Getchell Takes a Loss

Marysville Getchell lost against North Creek back in November of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Marysville Getchell were outmatched by the North Creek Jaguars and fell 67-4. The contest marked Marysville Getchell's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Leading North Creek to victory were Seirat Bhullar and Jocelyn Tamayo. Bhullar went 5 for 10 on her way to 15 points and six steals, while Tamayo made all 7 shots she took to post 16 points. With that strong performance, Bhullar is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Paige Geller was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Marysville Getchell's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for North Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Marysville Getchell will host Anacortes at 7:15 p.m. on December 28th. Anacortes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for North Creek, they will head out to challenge Nathan Hale at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. North Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.
