Soccer Game Preview: Frisco vs. Independence

The Frisco Raccoons will head out to challenge the Independence Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Frisco is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Heritage on Friday. The Raccoons fell just short of the Coyotes by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for Frisco in their meetings with Heritage: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Independence lost 4-1 to Liberty on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Independence have lost by exactly three goals.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Frisco, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.

Frisco was able to grind out a solid win over Independence in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, winning 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raccoons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
