Volleyball Recap: Quemado Starts off Right with Win over Mountainair

Quemado had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mountainair Mustangs. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight dating back to last season.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Quemado took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-14, 25-10.

Mountainair is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quemado will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ramah at 6:00 p.m. on September 11. As for Mountainair, they will challenge Pine Hill at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
