Volleyball Game Preview: Ichabod Crane Riders vs. Central Valley Academy Thunder

After both having extra time off, the Ichabod Crane Riders and the Central Valley Academy Thunder will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ichabod Crane will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Wednesday, Ichabod Crane beat Voorheesville 3-1.

Meanwhile, Central Valley Academy hadn't done well against Chittenango recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Saturday. Central Valley Academy walked away with a 3-1 win over Chittenango. The victory was nothing new for the Thunder as they're now sitting on four straight.

While Central Valley Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Chittenango scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 19-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Ichabod Crane pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Central Valley Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Ichabod Crane took their win against Central Valley Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ichabod Crane since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
