Football Recap: Centex Homeschool Piles Up the Points Against Texas Empowerment Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask CenTex HomeSchool). They claimed a resounding 76-12 win over the Texas Empowerment Academy Panthers. The Chargers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

CenTex HomeSchool had a senior duo take command as Jadin Arrington rushed for 153 yards and three scores and Scott Dosa rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Those 153 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Arrington.

CenTex HomeSchool didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hudson Evans and Micah Cheek. Evans got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

CenTex HomeSchool's record now sits at 3-1. As for Texas Empowerment Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, CenTex HomeSchool will be playing at home against Texas Wind at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Texas Empowerment Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hill Country Christian School of Austin at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
