Baseball Recap: Giles Wins Going Away Against Bland County

Giles was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bland County on Tuesday. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Bears. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Braxton Clark, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josiah Schlueter, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases and three runs.

Giles' victory bumped their record up to 5-10-1. As for Bland County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
