Basketball Game Preview: Claude Mustangs vs. Hedley Owls

The Claude Mustangs will take on the Hedley Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Claude took a blow against McLean, falling 60-24. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hedley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 59-25 loss at the hands of Groom. The Owls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.

Hedley's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Claude, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Claude took their victory against Hedley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 54-33. Will Claude repeat their success, or does Hedley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
