Football Game Preview: Maynard Tigers vs. West Boylston/Tahanto Lions

The Maynard Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the West Boylston/Tahanto Lions at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Maynard proved they can win big on November 7th (they won by 22) and last Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They slipped by Oxford 15-14.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, West Boylston/Tahanto rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the Wildcats as they made off with a 42-22 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won four games in a row.

West Boylston/Tahanto's record is now 9-2. As for Maynard, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-6.

Maynard took a serious blow against West Boylston/Tahanto in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 50-20. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
