Hampton entered their tilt with Gate City on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They took down the Gate City Blue Devils 65-46. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hampton's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points over those games. As for Gate City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Hampton will take on Cloudland at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gate City, they will face off against Abingdon at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Abingdon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Gate City likes a good challenge.
