Basketball Recap: Ally Lewis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Western Boone over Lebanon

Western Boone lost against Lebanon back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Western Boone Stars took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lebanon Tigers.

Several Stars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ally Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylee Dickerson, who posted 11 points and four steals.

It was another big night for Claire Boling, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards for Lebanon. Boling is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jade Mount, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Western Boone's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lebanon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Boone and Cascade will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lebanon will take on Indianapolis Shortridge in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
