Volleyball Recap: Loveland Has No Trouble Against Lebanon

Loveland won the last time they faced Lebanon and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

While Loveland might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lebanon scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-21.

Gavin McWaters paced Loveland's offense, picking up 17 kills. McWaters got some help from Colton Baker and his 33 assists. Finally, Clay Bebout kept Loveland's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Despite the loss, Lebanon still got an impressive performance from Anthony McCoy, who had 23 assists and ten digs. McCoy has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last ten times he's played.

Loveland's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Lebanon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Loveland is taking a road trip to square off against Lakota East at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderhawks will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lebanon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
