Basketball Game Preview: Newell Irrigators vs. Oelrichs Tigers

Newell and Oelrichs are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The two teams will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Newell is looking for their season's first victory.

Newell's tournament run continued when they took on Faith on Friday. Newell was dealt a 63-12 loss at the hands of Faith.

Oelrichs played against Edgemont and lost via forfeit.

Newell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oelrichs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Newell strolled past Oelrichs in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 65-49. Will Newell repeat their success, or does Oelrichs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
