Softball Recap: Brooke Comes Up Short

Brooke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buckeye Local Panthers.

Eden McKinney put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero). She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Brooke's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Buckeye Local, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Brooke will head out on the road to face off against Weir at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buckeye Local will be paying especially close attention to the Bruins' contest: after the Bruins faces off against the Red Riders, they'll take on Buckeye Local again at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
