Football Game Preview: Normal University Pioneers vs. Washington Panthers + Official Tickets

The Normal University Pioneers will face off against the Washington Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Washington will be up against a hot Normal University team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Pioneers took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-14 win over Lanphier. With the Pioneers ahead 39-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Cade Cunningham was his usual excellent self, picking up 123 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in one TD on the ground. He has become a key player for Normal University: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Bodey Klemmensen, who picked up 86 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Washington was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Morton 49-21.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Normal University, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Normal University was taken down by Washington 49-13 in their previous meeting back in August of 2016. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Pioneers were down 28-6.
