Basketball Recap: Weeki Wachee Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Weeki Wachee lost to Lecanto back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Weeki Wachee Hornets managed a 52-46 victory over the Lecanto Panthers.

Weeki Wachee's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Lecanto, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weeki Wachee will host Crystal River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lecanto, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Sumter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lecanto is facing South Sumter at the right time seeing as South Sumter is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
