Recap: Prairie Lea Indians vs. Pettus Eagles
The Prairie Lea Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Pettus 79-30. Prairie Lea was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.
Pettus found their leader in underclassman Ramon Reyna, who scored 24 points. Reyna continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Seth Guajardo, who scored 14 points.
Prairie Lea's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Pettus, their victory bumped their record up to 9-17.
Prairie Lea will head out on the road to challenge Austwell-Tivoli at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Austwell-Tivoli knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Prairie Lea likes a good challenge. As for Pettus, they will be playing at home against Nordheim at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
