Basketball Game Preview: North Johnston Panthers vs. Beddingfield Bruins

The North Johnston Panthers will take on the Beddingfield Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Johnston's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Beddingfield's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, North Johnston took their matchup with ease, bagging a 44-6 victory over Princeton. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Emma Sheetz and Amiyah Grimes were among the main playmakers for North Johnston as the former posted ten points and seven boards and the latter earned 12 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Sheetz a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kathryn Pitts, who put up six points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Beddingfield waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 61-50.

Beddingfield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-14. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for North Johnston, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.

North Johnston was able to grind out a solid win over Beddingfield in their previous matchup on February 4th, winning 57-45. Does North Johnston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Beddingfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
