Dublin Scioto's loss came despite strong showings from Niah Smedley and Alec Rothe. Smedley scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals, while Rothe scored 8 points along with 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. Smedley scored a full 45.1% of Dublin Scioto's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Evan Rinker, who scored 8 points.
Dublin Scioto's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Westerville South, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
