Baseball Recap: Cleveland Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Cleveland finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 9-2 to the Fuquay - Varina Bengals. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cleveland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Porter Carroll, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Cleveland's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Fuquay - Varina, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

While Cleveland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
