Football Recap: Valor Christian Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Valor Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Pine Creek 36-14 on Friday. Valor Christian has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Pine Creek, too.

Cash Spence was the offensive standout of the game as he picked up 47 receiving yards and two TDs.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Valor Christian, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Cody Dean, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Although Pine Creek took the loss, they still got scores from Brady Walden and Malakai Harkley.

Coming up, Valor Christian will head out to face off against Regis Jesuit at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pine Creek, they will welcome Cherokee Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
