Cascade lost to Speedway back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cadets put the hurt on the Sparkplugs with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Cascade never let Speedway on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 27-25, 25-13.

Suzy Moore was the offensive standout of the match as she had ten digs and two aces. Izzy Guetig was another key player, getting eight kills.

They weren't the only good servers: Cascade was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Cascade's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Speedway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Cascade has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Bloomington North on the 20th. As for Speedway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Indian Creek on the 22nd.
