Kenna Streeval made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Streeval wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Barrett, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Edinburgh pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edinburgh will venture away from home to face off against Living Water Homeschool at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Marlins have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for South Ripley, they will face off against Austin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
