Soccer Game Preview: Klein Collins vs. Magnolia West

The Klein Collins Tigers will head out to take on the Magnolia West Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Klein Collins' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a proper cat-fight when Klein Collins took on Tomball on Saturday. Klein Collins took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tomball. One reason for the loss might be the Tigers' aggressive play style: Jason Guzman and Diego E Gomez were both handed yellow cards.

Klein Collins' goal came courtesy of E Gomez, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Magnolia West sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Klein Forest on Saturday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Eagles are ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Magnolia West's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Klein Collins, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Klein Collins suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Magnolia West when the teams last played back in January. Can Klein Collins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
